A great way to advertise online for free… and it’s fun too, is to join a forum that interests you and is tied in some way to your website idea.  Most forums allow you to set up what is called a signature, a forum signature is a customizable area that will appear at the bottom of every post you make in that forum.  Check the forums rules, but most forums allow you to place a link back to your website in your signature.  Voila!  Now, every post you make in that forum contains a link back to your website… start promoting your site just by communicating with others.
